Gartner and others continue to rank Hyperion as a leader in Corporate Performance Management Suites. Since Hyperion Finance modules contain Budget, Forecasting & Actual data, the use case is extremely high for BI connectivity to Essbase.

'I confirm this is a strong requirement in our organization.
It should make sense to Microsoft from a sales perspective too :
- Essbase has a large Customer base
- Tableau includes an Essbase connector
