Create a filter that allows me to say 'Show the top N categories by value', e.g. 'Top 5 countries by sales'

We really, really, really need this. Excel like filtering on Tables, Charts, etc. is very important to end users, wrtining DAX will not work for end users. I want to just show Top N based on criteria, just like Excel, very easy for end users to do.

Should add a Top N filter system for better dashboard viewing. A simple Rank function can be used. This is a very important tool needed for Dashboard analysis on a large dataset.

This feature is absolutely necessary to make the product at par with the current bunch of competitor products. Any timeline for this one please?

Yep, at the moment this can be done with DAX formulas. But you gotta admit that having this feature under filtering makes total sense for the end-users.
