It was implemented in charts but not in tables or matrixes.

We released conditional formatting in tables with our May release of Power BI Desktop. Give it a try and let us know what you think. You can learn more about how to use it in our latest blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-update-feature-summary/.

RE: conditional formatting in tables

I would like to be able to colour format by columns, by value. Also a different colour format for the Totals column

RE: conditional formatting in tables

If this is planned, could we get an approximate delivery date? Personally, I am looking to apply colors to individual columns based on their values. Color based on a different value would be a really nice addition, but what is the trade off in terms of time to implement color based on the specific column's value vs. color based on a different value. Could this be implemented in an agile fashion? 1. Conditional color to columns based on their values. 2. Conditional color on columns based on a different value 3. Color changes to other elements of the table/matrix.

Thanks!

Brynn

RE: conditional formatting in tables

Color saturation should apply to individual columns but we should be able to choose and configure as many as necessary. It would be nice to color a column based on another column value but a comprehensive legend (like color scale) will need to be displayed.

As for Excel-like conditional formatting, I think should stay in Excel.

RE: conditional formatting in tables

Applying color on individual column should be definitely a priority with conditional formatting in the same way as in Excel.

We would definitely want to have this feature available
