I can copy the visual either as image or data table and paste it in other applications.

We recently released the ability to export data from tiles and visuals to a CSV file. This may work for y'all as a workaround until we add the ability to directly copy and paste the visual or data. How do you export tile data to excel while in power bi desktop? This is extremely useful for debugging / problem solving during the authoring process. There is no tile menu that I can see in desktop...? Please let me know when you have a chance. Thanks!

Awesome! Great to see our feedback adopted, it's important that routine simple functions are available to those users who are transitioning to a more online, instant workflow with their reports

Meanwhile you can use this Workaround: With the December update you can use the workaround via R to export your data from Power BI to txt or SQL-server: http://www.thebiccountant.com/2015/12/28/how-to-export-data-from-power-bi-and-power-query/

This would be very important; every other BI tool I've used allows some method to copy/paste or export data from a particular report

Hi Team :)
If this feature is implemented, I'd like to see some control on the Dashboard owner side, to allow/disallow the feature, as well as be able to track who has downloaded the data, and what data they have downloaded, and when. This is useful as our dashboards are Microsoft confidential.

I'd love to have this available - we're using Power BI to present some of the customer feedback that we've gathered for our site, and having the copy/paste (as text, not as image) feature is essential to making the report useful.

Excel allows you to copy data in a table, if power BI can at least allow copy from a table directly, it will be great.

This a very important to have to copy data in other Tools (like for example agreements numbers, oppty ids, all "complicated" data. When it will be available

It would be great if I could copy a report page created on PowerBI.com back to the desktop report the data originated from.
